I think it is always safest, to take the 'supplement' in its natural form. You can get bromelain from pineapple. Not only will you have that, but also all the other vitamins and minerals in the fruit. Of course, it is hard to find at times, but our local store usually has some!

Yes, the safest way to see if someone is allergic to Pineapple. That can be fatal.

Interesting. I read all the 5 listed citations and none of them mentioned severe side effects - unless one were allergic to it. They were all listing positive results. Can't find the link to the FAERS info. I don't really trust anything manufactured these days but in the past I have used bromelain off and on for GERD and found no issues.

It takes quite a while to load and you have to click a disclaimer pop-up.

It limits you to 5 relevant products for any search, so you might have to refine your approach for any pill of interest.
