Iceland has much tectonic activity due to diverging plates running through it. Would HF be emitted by such action If yes, has it been affecting the population?

Hi Raelene. The accelerated ice cap melting in Greenland will be releasing HF to air and the sea. The concentration in the ice is small but the amount is huge. Found this old quote.

"The Greenland Ice Sheet contains about 2.9 million cubic kilometers (0.7 million cubic miles) of ice. The ice sheet extends about 1.7 million square kilometers (656,000 square miles), covering 80 percent of the world's largest island, and is equivalent to about three times the size of Texas."

Wikipedia has more.
